I’m Kristina Marcelle, the designer and founder of Charlie and Marcelle.
Charlie and Marcelle was born from love, legacy, and the courage to live boldly.
Charlie was my mom. When I was 17, she passed away from breast cancer. She had studied design and earned a master’s degree in business, yet she never fully stepped into the dreams she carried within her. Though she is no longer here, her spirit continues to guide and inspire everything I create. From her I inherited a love of jewelry, a love of laughter, and most importantly, a love of making people smile.
Before she passed, I made a promise to my mom that I would live the life she didn’t have the chance to live, pursue my dreams with courage, find great love, and believe boldly in everything I do.
The mission behind my jewelry is simple: to inspire magic. I believe jewelry can be a quiet reminder that anything is possible when we believe in ourselves. Sometimes all it takes is a small piece we wear every day to remind us of what we are hoping for, dreaming of, or becoming.
In 2009, after more than a decade in the luxury retail industry, I decided to follow two passions that had always been close to my heart: jewelry and connection. That decision became Charlie and Marcelle.
Each piece I create is designed as a modern amulet, meant to symbolize the things we all seek in life: love, protection, luck, and prosperity. Jewelry that is meaningful, magical, and simple enough to wear every day. My hope is that each piece becomes part of someone’s story, holding the memories, hopes, and moments that shape our lives.
Every piece is thoughtfully designed and created in our Downtown Los Angeles studio, where craftsmanship and intention are at the heart of the process.
At the heart of everything I create is one simple intention: to make people smile, just as my mom always did.
